Dr. Mitesh Patel joins Sierra as Head of Clinical

That’s why we’re excited to welcome Dr. Mitesh Patel as our Head of Clinical.

Mitesh most recently served as Chief Clinical Transformation Officer at Ascension, where he led efforts to improve care delivery and patient outcomes across one of the largest health systems in the US. He also founded the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit, the world’s first behavioral design team embedded within the operations of a health system.

At Sierra, Mitesh will work with our partners to transform how they engage and support patients. That means building agents that go beyond answering questions and scheduling to proactively help patients navigate care, prepare for treatment, and recover with ongoing follow-up and support.

Getting this right takes a deep understanding of both medicine and how to improve care at scale. Mitesh brings extensive experience with both plus a strong builder mentality.
